Texas Hold'en

Texas Hold'em or onlly Hold'en is the most popular form of poker in the world. In Hold'em, each player is dealt two private cards (known as "hole cards") that are not visible to other players. Five more cards are dealt face-up on the table, called the "Community Cards". All players use both their hole cards and the shared community cards to make the best possible 5-card poker hand (see poker hands ranking). They may use any combination of the seven cards available to make the best 5-card poker hand, using zero, one or two of their hole cards.

Order of play:

Dealer button and Blinds

The hand starts with the dealer button (marked with a “D” at the table) that shows who the virtual dealer of the hand is. This button moves clockwise at the end of each hand.
The two players directly to the left of the dealer button must post Blinds, which are forced bets before seeing their cards to ensure that there is something to play for. The Small Blind is posted by the first player and the Big Blind by the second. The Big Blind is always the minimum bet at the table and the Small Blind is half.

Pocket cards: 1st betting round

Once the Blinds are posted, the 2 pocket cards (also called hole cards) are dealt. Those cards are not visible to other players. The first betting round starts and the player after the Big Blind is the first one to act.
Players can Fold, Call the Big Blind amount, or Raise (if you are not familiar with the poker terms, please check the poker basics' page.)
All players must put the same amount into the pot, or fold before the next round can start. The same rule will apply for the following betting rounds.

The Flop: 2nd betting round

The Flop (the three first community cards) is dealt face up on the table, and the 2nd betting round starts.
The following actions can now be taken: Check, Bet/Raise, Call or Fold.

The Turn: 3rd betting round

The Turn (the 4th community card) is dealt face up on the table, and the 3rd betting round starts. All players now have 6 cards to choose from to make the best 5 card combination.

The River: 4th betting round

The River (the 5th and last community card) is dealt face up on the table, and the last betting round starts. All players now have 7 cards to choose from to make the best 5 card combination.

Showdown

At the end of the 4th betting round, the hands of the remaining players are compared and the best poker hand wins the pot. In our poker room, as with all, "cards speak." That means our dealer will find the best five-card hand using the five (5) community cards on the board and the two (2) pocket cards in the player’s hand. The winner will be decided based on the universal poker hand rankings.
